Get Out the Women's Vote

In Baltimore City, the turnout for the 2014 primary election was 23.9%. In Baltimore County, that percentage was 27.5%

BWU concentrates on increasing turnout among women because the only way to keep our elected officials accountable, to have our voices heard, and to elect women is by the women’s vote.

BWU began canvassing in the summer of 2017 to encourage women to vote, and we will continue our voter outreach efforts through the 2018 election. As of October 2017, we had knocked on over 2500 doors.  And we’re not done yet.

Teams of women are organizing voter registration efforts in the schools and other public places. Stay tuned for more details.
